Hi there. I have a new-to-me 135 Installed on my 18' boat. I had it out for the first time yesterday, and overall I'm very happy with the install.
I was running on the plane at 3200 rpm, and the rpm would intermittently jump to 4k or so. I suspect an intermittent spark on a cylinder or two. It was pretty exciting. I was in a 2 foot chop going 15 knots (comfortable), then I was doing 20 knots (Not comfortable).
I have troubleshot cdi style ignition before and have a scope and DVA, but given that it's intermittent, I wanted to ask if there is a typical weak component on these ignitions.
Thanks,
Chay
