1990 200txesm rectifier/reg

Did the proper test on Rect/Reg, found the tach would work after following the procedures of placing gray tach wire to Yellow/gray on terminal board, went and picked up the OEm R/R for this model. The problem is; the new one has the Red to the soelinoid, the two yellows for the stator, and the gray tach, the problem is my old one also has a purple to the TB, which I know one goes to the VRO plug, which is disconnected for pre-mix, is the purple from the R/R needed? if so, why arent the factory parts coming with it?

All the parts diagrams show the Rect/Reg having 5 wires, why is the correct part coming with only 4? Has anyone else encountered this?
The original part #584424 has the big red to the soelinoid, then the 2 yellows for stator, the gray for tach, and the purple which feeds out 2 purples, one to the VRO plug, and the other appears to go to the voltage guage in dash.
The new one is missing the purple?

583689, this is what all the parts diagrams say is the right one, wondering if there is a jumper from another terminal on the board? I spoke with the parts guy as soon as I got home and noticed the difference, he said they dont take back electrical parts. I said " I DONT THINK SO TIMM!

The different numbers are also cross referenced from the CDI website as well.

What is the purple of the rect/reg, and is there a way to connect the rect/reg another way?

After further investigation, all the aftermarket numbers that match the factory part numbers, have all five wires, so I will return this one (583689), and wait till Bombardier can tell me which factory part I need.

Talked to the BRP rep/tech today, the purple wire is not needed due to the fact that its incorporated in the red solenoid wire, hence the reason its no longer there. Thanks for all the replies, dont know what I would do without you guys.
