1990 225 evinrude remote problem

first off all i found the repair manual for this engine thanks to Ezeke but till it comes, some times i have to play with the remote before the starter will engage any thoughts on this, thanks

Generally, that's the neutral safety switch in the control not making contact. It would be worth waiting for the manual before tearing into that problem; section eight covers it step-by-step. See 'A' in the attached diagram.

hey EZEKE mach. just left new power pack in, cleaned a couple connection(kill switch) VOOOOORMMMM sarted right up.checked timing, jim (the machanic) was surprised how good it ran.next thing on list water pump kit, exhaust donut change all fuel lines,change gear oil. clean vro pump, pump out old gas, clean gas tank, new fuel filter and water separator thanks for all your help.
