1990 350 Magnum engine thoughts?

I'm an outboard man, I/O's are new to me and I;,m thinking about getting a23 wellcraft with this motor. Any thoughts as to whether its a good motor or not? Thanks for any comments

The 350 is a Chevy 5.7L engine. Has been used by OMC, Volvo, and Mercruiser (and many others) in boats since the early 70's in one form or another.
