1990 50HP Force spun prop: opinions and choices?

I have a spun prop (rubber hub) on my 20' aqua patio pontoon. It a 1990 model year and 50HP. Its the only prop I own for this engine and was wondering interchangeability with other years and recommendations. I think I would like to carry a spare if this is common.

I honestly am not worried too much about performance. The hub was spun on a different boat application and my pontoon is never hammered on or is subject to hole shots or races. I just noticed it with recent engine swap, and it only loses the hub (spins) at 3/4+ throttle.

1. Should I just get the existing prop re-hubbed to keep as a spare?
2. What are my options for a new prop and/or interchangeability (models/years ect...)

Thanks in advance

I have a 40hp Force and put on a Vortex 10" x 14". They are innexpensive and you can buy just the prop really cheap. I tested it on a sand bar in Biscayne Bay this weekend. Held up fine. I bought it here on iboats. Hope it helps.

Will a spun hub "spin" itself in a drum/can in my yard? or doe sit typically have to be in a real world under load situation?

Action, the chances of it spinning in a trash can are nil to none, there is no load on it. You need to know what pitch it is to decide if it will work well as a spare reasonably.

Thanks-its a 11 1/2 pitch....I think it will do OK as a spare. I run lots of area with sandbars so I would like to have some backup.

I always have a backup prop on the boat.
