1990 60hp temp stick

1990 60hp Johnson VRO<br />Just replaced water pump (works good) replaced T-stat (looks alot different) upgraded tell tale and heat sensor. Used heat stick,no 163 degree to be found. I used a 150 heat stick, and melted in back of t-stat housing 175 did not. Overheating ? Using muffs at idle, also ran at 3000 rpm ???? Thanks

I don't know if you're interested or not but for about 80 bucks, NAPA sells a non-contact thermometer that I use.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
