1990 6hp fuel pump - exploded diagram?

This fuel pump was in bits when I got it. Comparing it with a pic of the repair kit,

I have all the bits, but no indication of where the two springs and their associated plastic heads actually go. The kind of exploded diagrams which Crowleys and other parts suppliers use don't show the springs at all and neither does the 1986 OMC workshop manual. Does anyone have (or could point me at) an exploded diagram showing all the parts and the sequence in which they go together? Thanks in advance.

Have you looked at shop2.evinrude.com ? Don't know if that will have the detail you need, but it's worth a look.

Do a search here or someone will lead you to a full pic by pic instructions,That was posted here and someone a week or two ago asked for help just as you are,It was a great info post!! I cant seem to find much here by searching must be my poor english??

NO thats not it .Helpful as it may seem ramblings is just that a hard sometimes confusing read.This was a member here who did a great pic X pic,Maybe i saved to another computer in my shop (Garage) I'll look.If I didn't save it I'm foolish!!

Sorry - missed that. Lovely detailed post, but sadly mine's the earlier square one. Must be because the engine's Belgian, not USA! However, I've got it back together using ramblings and it certainly passes the one-way valve test - I'll try it out tomorrow. Thanks for all the input.
