1990 90 hp johnson V4

I have a 17' center console boat with a 1995 70 hp johnson on it.....Two things i need to ask????

1. The 90 hp is a one owner very clean motor....Looks new...Was a 1990 90 hp johnson V4 a good motor!!!!!!

2. I have a whale tail on my 70 hp....Do you guys think i will need to put one on the 90 hp motor!!!!

3. I run a 15 and a 17 pitch prop on the 70 hp.....What might be a good one for the 90 hp!!!!!!!

And yes guys yall are the greatest helpers in town....Thanks with any help....

i run an 88 88spl same motor w/o vro, no whale tail, made mine screwey. you have to prop the boat according to the optium rpms, post this question in the prop forum, along with all info on boat a motor. run a 19.
