1990 alpha one 3.0 has no spark. What to check

I just traded for a 1990 Sea Ray 160.the boat is in great shape but there's no spark at the spark plugs. So the engine cranks but doesn't start. New to working on boats but iihave no problems working on cars. I have looked for downloads for manuals but can't seem to find any. So my question is where do I start on this craft to figure out the no spark problem. Or a wire scamatic would be nice also lol

Kinda sounds like the safety ignition cutoff switch does not have the lanyard key in it. Mine is at the bottom of the control lever housing.
