I've had my eye on this boat since before Christmas. She was listed with a bad motor and no trailer. List price was $5,500, I offered $2,000 and the owner accepted. Met my boat mechanic at the dealer today for her survey which went well. The hull and transom are rock solid. The dealer had all service records from 1997, she was well maintained. The motor definitely needs the flywheel magnets re-attached. Compression was good. All gears in the lower unit are new, and have never actually seen water, same with the multi season bottom paint.

She comes with a bunch of PFD's, a giant cooler, GPS/fishfinder and an anchor.

There's a giant livewell at the transom and 6 rod holders.

Yeah, for me it's the perfect setup. People can fish or just sit up front, but it still has the cabin so the girlfriend or family members can get out of the weather.

Thanks, she's real dirty but will look great with a bit of elbow grease!

Everything looks like it will clean up real nice.:)

That hull is almost identical to the Seaswirl Striper walk-around cuddy cabins, love the self-bailing hull design and scuppers.

She can take a wave over the bow and shed all the water in seconds:D You don't have to try this out, but good to know for peace of mind.

Good luck with the new rig, hopefully that 225 will be a good runner. Are you going to add a kicker motor?

Congrats Jerry!! $2k seems like one heck of a deal to me bro!

Man, I know it's only a foot longer than the Holiday but it looks like a giant by comparison.

Have fun man!:D:D

Yeah I love the self bailing deck and the full transom. Feels like she will be very safe, the sides are very deep. Once I get the main motor squared away I would like to add a kicker. I don't do much trolling, so it would mainly be a backup to get me home safely. I'm not sure a 9.9hp would do, but we'll see. I am hoping to find a rotten hull sitting on a trailer with a hard top and kicker that I can steal on craigslist for cheap... I think I'm asking a bit too much though, I can dream can't I?

Yeah man, it literally feels like it's triple to boat. The bow pulpit and OB bracket prolly make her close to 26 feet, but the 9'2 beam make a huge difference. This thing is REALLY wide. Once I get her running she'll be the perfect Delaware bay rig.

That should be ok, my dad runs a Yamaha 8hp 4-stroke kicker on his 23' Seaswirl and it pushes it fine. You could look into one of the Minn Kotas that mount on the lower unit as well if you didn't want the hassle of mounting a kicker bracket.

Looks like the rig came with a fuel meter on the dash? That would be a handy gauge to have working to monitor GPH.
