What leads you to believe that #2 isn't firing? Is the sparkplug bone dry on # 2 ?

Hi Philby,

I had a similar problem last summer. Turned out I had a blocked high speed jet in one of my carbs, preventing fuel from reaching the one cylinder.

Good luck!

Brew

Dhadley

Similar to the other two. Can't remember exactly, but very close.
I know it isn't firing on number two because I can take the lead off with on two without change. On one and three it stalls.

If it is the jet you'll need to talk me through the carb job.

Thanks

Philby,

Removing, cleaning and replacing the carbs is a fairly straight forward process, but if you've never done it before, I would recommend spending a couple of bucks to get a manual. It will have step by step instructions along with diagrams to help you through the process.

If you are going to go to the trouble of removing the carbs, I would also buy the necessary "carb kits" from your local dealer. The kit provides you with new gaskets and carb floats to replace the old ones. You might as well replace them while you've got it apart.

Good luck.

Brew
