Hi,
New to boating and new to forums so bear with me. Have recently had the oil warning come on intermittantly when idling or starting. Goes away after a minute. Plenty of oil in the tank and hoses seem ok. I noticed the tank has a crack in the top. Does this need to be under pressure? I have heard of some boaties disconnecting the VRO and premixing ,is this reccomended?

Thanks

scottyd,

I think your oil injection system is in need of some manintenance.

Follow these steps.

1. Remove the tank.

2. Empty it.

3. Flush all the lines with fresh oil.

4. Replace the pick up (filter) screen.

5. Refill and re-prime.

6. Run 50:1 premix (in the main tank) until you verify oil usege from the VRO tank.
