1990 evinrude xp150

There is 92-96psi in each cilender. Is this good/fair/crappy? What is there for comp when this engine has new pistons and rings?

Thats not bad. If you havent done so lately run a can of de-carb thru it and see what happens. Follow the instructions carefully and it cant hurt.<br /><br />Great motor.<br /><br />good luck!

OMC dosn't give a compression specification, but most people will say "around 100psi". OMC only says that variation should not exceed 15psi. It sounds like you're in pretty good shape, but I would try a decarb too.
