Throttle linkage fell off. I put it back on, and it has a sever flat spot between full and half throttle. Full throttle works great, back it off a 1/2 inch and it is like it has 2 cyl. working. BTW, it just had pistons and rings put in it. Any help out there?

Sure sounds like it might have fouled a plug. Does it act like it is missing?

it has a idle skip but the plugs have been changed twice.....runs fine if you move the throttle back some more

Ok. It is deifnitely timing. Where did it fall off? And has all the play been removed when you re-installed it? The least bit of play will throw spark advance so far out, that in many cases it will not run past the point it drops time.<br />readjust the spark advance to spec, and it should run fine.

Re: 1990 Force 90

the cable fell off at the point where the screw holds it into the notched bracket, but then the adjustment on the rear was also loose and backed itself off.
