Hello Chaps,
Does anyone have a detailed picture of how the waterpump off this BJ30 EES comes apart and, more importantly, how it should all go back together?

Hello Beaujester,
If you drop the lower unit (gearcase) the water pump will be located around the drive shaft, and held down by 4 bolts. Remove the housing by lifting it up. The water pump impeller should now be visible, pull it off the drive shaft and replace it. Re-install the housing by applying a slight downward pressure while turning the drive shaft clockwise, it should pop right on.
Sorry I don't have my parts manual at home, so no pictures.
Good luck

...need to be sure you have the key or pin in place that "connects" the impeller to the driveshaft -- otherwise the shaft will spin, but the impeller will not.

If you buy an OMC complete pump kit, they pack instructions with pictures in the package and include special grease and O ring used on the upper end of the drive shaft. Alternately , you could buy a shop manual.
