1990 johnson gt 200 sluggish top end

runs strong and fine when u first get it out, stop to fish then go back at it and @ top speed it starts to miss like its not getting fuel. Acts as if it is running lean. Can the jets be backed out a hair or should i check the timing first

Not sure on what's causing it, but if it is in fact running lean it needs to be fixed before it does damage from lack of lubrication. Good luck with it!
