1990 Merc 25 hp 2 stroke stalling

Hey all. I tried searching thru the posts with no luck. My outboard hasn't run in 2 years. Fresh Gas. flushed new gas thru the system. New plugs. Pulled the Carb off and apart. Cleaned it well. and put it back on. It starts and idles not too bad. Put it in gear and start to accelerate, and it dies. Any ideas?

Turn the low speed screw out another 1/4 turn. You should have replaced gaskets and diaphragms if you had it apart.

Where is the low speed screw? When I pulled it apart, everything looked amazingly good. And the local Parts place was already closed.

If you look at the black cover on the carb there is a hole close.to the top. It is.behind that hole, I now.question your.cleaning methods because that should.have come.out during your cleaning.
