Hi I have a 90 ski supreme with the 350 mercruiser and my concern isthat it has the wrong distributor in it. I purchased the boat late season last year and used the boat as is but I want to fix it this year. The distributor looks like an HEI unit off a 1975 to mid 80's GM car or truck. It has the coil in the distributor cap, and a vacum advance on the right side of the distributor housing. My problem was the engine runs rough from half throttle to full throttle. I feel this is from the timing advance being vacum and not mechanic. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
