1990 Mercury 50hp Carb Settings

Hi guys,
What are the carb settings on the 1990 Mercury 50 hp outboard? Such as the air/fuel mixture? What is the turns out once you softly seat the air/fuel mixture jet?

Most carbs had an initial setting for the mixture needle at about 1 1/2 turns out from lightly seated. It was usually too rich, but would permit the engine to run. Final adjustment was made in the water under load.

Thank you jimmbo, i did the 1 1/2 turns and i was thinking the same thing; i should be on the lake to do this...

So jimmbo i took the boat out today for the first time since the work. The boat bogs at full throttle but idles fine.
Let me ask you something; so when the jet is turned in it makes the mixture leaner, adding more air??
Just asking to make sure...
What should i do on the water... it ran fine with muffs...
