1990 OMC 460 King cobra hard short?

First of all have I told you, how much I love forums on the internet? I have, as the title reads, a 1990 OMC 460 King Cobra that did not touch the water last year. It was properly winterized 2 years prior and was completely overhauled that spring. I did all the steps to wake her up to go for a spin this weekend. When I turned the key it acted like a hard short. Shutting down everything, even resetting the radio. I think it may be the starter but wanted to get more opinions. I know just enough to be dangerous.<br />Thanks for any and all info.

start with the battery check terminal connections (remove and clean em),check the other end of both battery cabels, sounds like it arked and broke the circuit.<br />welcom to iboats
