Boat was running good about a month ago, I did a decarb took it out ran it and everything was great. Went out this past week and couldn't get it to fire. Did go down a long rough dirt road so I could have knocked something lose but I'm not sure. All I know is that I checked the spark at the wires and I have nothing. I need to know what to test from here. Thanks to everyone who replies.

First remove airbox cover...

Disconnect the red harness plug to eliminate controller, jump the starter solenoid and see if spark returns, if so look for a problem with the kill switch wire and circuit at the controller end.

If engine starts, choke the carbs by hand to stop it.

I'm trying to jump the starter but the starter jumps spins and doesn't engage the flywheel. It looks like it's spinning the wrong way but I'm not sure. All I know is that the battery is fully charged and I took a piece of wire from the starter to the positve end of the battery terminal. I did have the negative attached to but that didn't seem to matter. Also as soon as I touch the + side of the battery the starter starts to spin, is that normal or should you have to turn the key. Thanks to all who reply.

Update, I finally figured out how to jump the solenoid. The starter turns over and engaged the flywheel, but still didn't see a spark. So where would I go from here assuming that it's not the kill switch, the solenoid or the starter. Also I did forget to mention that before the motor quit firing that there was a ticking noise around the flywheel that came and went. Could be something with the magnets I guess. Thanks to all who reply.

Did you do the above and the results?
