Following my motor shutting down on me 2 weeks ago I brought it home and replaced the impeller as it was trashed. After I got it back together it wouldn't run. It would just fire half heartedly. I pulled the plugs and found one of them to have moisture that didn't smell like fuel. Did blow it up how can i tell and if so can it be rebiult. M# E15EEIA

The first step would be to run a compression test on it. You can get a tester at most auto parts stores...Look for numbers upward of 100 PSI and even on both cylinders..Is the one plug REAL clean??

If the engine overheated it's possible the head gasket was effected and is leaking. Doesn't neccessarily mean the engine is blown up. Get the compression test like Rick suggested and go from there.

I just checked the compression and one of the cylinders has no compression

Pull the head and check the head gasket. If it's blowed enough, you won't have compression in that cylinder. Don't fret yet until you've seen the insides.

I just Pulled the head. There is a large break in the gasket between the two cylinders on one side.

Is there anything else I need to look for while I have the head off. Is there any maint I should perform while I have it off.

Just check the cylinder walls good and make sure their in good shape. If there is any heavy carbon on the piston heads or around the head, nows the time to clean it off. Check to make sure the pistons don't have a lot of slop in them. They should be snug with the rings against the cylinder walls. Make sure your head gasket surfaces are clean before installing the new head gasket. Might consider a new t-stat while your poking around the head Eddy.

I do and will most likely be there tomorrow to get a new head gasket. Do you get over this way much.
