Having problems with 225 OMC Seadrive outboard. Loses power/RPM at WOT sometimes and <br />has rough idle. Motor starts up fine and has high idle (1000 RPM) when cold. The loss of power <br />at WOT is not consistent. I can run it a few trips with good speed then for unknown reasons <br />it will cut out like it lost a cylinder or two and RPM drops to about 4200 max. Changing plugs <br />sometimes helps, sometimes not. Have checked for spark. Appears good on all 6 cylinders. <br />Have checked compression. All at 90 psi except one at 85 psi.Also adjusted idle speed timing <br />and all throttle linkage per OMC manual. Could not obtain the 6 degrees ATC per manual at idle<br />or it wants to die. Have played with idle speed screw and idle timing to get best combo, but <br />still likes to die at idle (but not always). Engine is now set at about 7-8 degrees ATC idle speed. <br />Also inspected and cleaned fuel cylinder return line and check valve. Also looked for bad <br />fuel or water in carb bowls and in-line filter - negative. Any advice?? Thanks.<br /><br />KDM
