Re: 1991 235 vista ?

The King Cobra/460 combo was only used for a couple years. The parts are pretty rare. They are by all accounts a good/durable design. They are just a victim of the demise of OMC.

There are so many early 90s Four Winns that would be great buys if they didn't have OMC drives....this coming from a fan of OMC. Even I haven't considered buying boats because they have an OMC outdrive.

Regardless the boat you are looking at could be a well maintained gem that is worth the price...and worth the additional issues that owning an OMC brings....which besides parts/service availability are few.

Re: 1991 235 vista ?

I own a 93 245 Vista with King Cobra and 7.4L/454CI. This has been a great boat, still looks good, fast enough to get around, etc. There are some issues with finding OMC parts but my mechanic has always been able to find what was needed. I've always used in fresh water w/o bottom paint, and have a good bottom. As long as the engine/drive checks out, the rest can be maintained pretty easily.
