1991 25hp Mariner outboard

No water being pumped while running, replaced impeller and still have the problem. Use a set of the clamp on ears for the lower unit when testing this function. Where is the thermostat located on this motor?

I don't belive that serail group has one and can't say for sure without a number, but if it does follow the pitot tube to the block cover and it will have a cap attached to the water cover and the stat is behind it. I think that the tube from pump to the powerhead is not in the hole right or there a pieces of the old impeller are plugging some thing up

Bought a thermostat today at a local marine dealer, judging by the serial number I gave him. Got home and looked in the place it was supposed to be. Took off the water cover and no thermostat. Just a lot of open space.
I guess this one, serial # A148102, does not have one, or it is someplace else. I guess the lower unit has to come back off?
