1991 4.3 mercruiser alternator

The alternator stopped charging on my baja 204.checked all wiring is ok.The alternator that is on it is a 55amp mercruiser part #98555.Does anyone know the part # for any replacement alternators from napa.I prefer to buy from them as i am an auto tech and have a wholesale account with them thanks.

Don't use an auto part as a replacement part on a boat. Will it work? Yes. Is it dangerous? Even bigger yes. They are not sealed against sparking and present a huge danger in a closed bilge/engine area where any fuel vapors are going to collect. This is the main reason there are marinized versions of alternators, starters, and air cleaners (spark arresters).
