Can anyone tell me how to tell whether I have a Thunderbolt or Prestolite ignition? Apparently they use different spark plugs.<br /><br />Thanks in advance.
gfinale-- I don't think they made the Thunderbolt til late 92, but to tell the difference, the thunderbolt has a switch box and the prestolite has two cd modules and both the switch box and cd modules are then connected to the coils which connect to the spark plug leads. So plug in and happy boating.
