1991 75hp 3 cylinder help please!

Was replacing the stator that was bad.The old one is a 5 wire,2 yellow,red,black and blue.

The replacement stator i bought from a used parts guy was from a 99 3 cylinder.
He assured me it would work but it only has 4 wires...
2 yellow,green and green with white stripe...WTH!

Now i'm stuck not knowing if this will work or do i need to just get my money back for the used one.

Any ideas???

He sold you a red stator without the rest of the kit which is a stator module that regulates voltage and adapts the green and white wires to red and blue it will not work with out the adapter module.

Thanks Laddies....I figured that much after reading the CDI Tech info..
He is a local guy so i hope he will refund my money..
I also bought a new flywheel from him off the same 99 model engine.
It fits but has different timing marks.....
I think i will scream now!...

This motor is killing me...Good spark,Compression 105 on all 3 cylinders,has fuel but will not spit sputter or nothing..

I had been working on this in a slip.I rented a trailer to get it home to my shop and still can't get it to run..
I have 400 invested in parts and the trailer rental..
Looks like i'm going in the hole big time on this one..
