I was wondering if anyone knew what the following mercury part numbers for fuel and oil lines were in real life ID/OD sizes. I didn't want to pay the ridiculous prices for the mercury branded stuff. Is it OK to use any poly tubing, ie. from lowes for the oil lines? Here is what I know so far, mercury part numbers matched to what I used:
Fuel pump side:
32-8M0047448 | TUBING-70 INCH -- Regular 3/8" fuel line from auto store doesn't work because it kinks at sharp bends. I used some extra USCG approved 3/8 ID line from my primer line which bends well.
32-8M0047428 | HOSE-57 INCH -- unknown, I used 5/16" ID fuel line here. Not sure if this is abosultely correct. Anyone know?
32-82381335 | TUBING-15 INCH -- I used 3/16" ID poly line from lowes. Is that correct?
Oil tank side:
32-82381455 | TUBING-25 IN@2 -- this is goes from the bottom of the oil tank to the tee, and out of the tee to the oil pump. I'm thinking its 1/4" ID, 5/16" ID or 3/8" ID. Anyone know?
It seems i've got a leak at the 3 way tee under my attached oil tank. I put a clean paper towel under that tee today and left it while I ran the motor and its leaking. So I will replace that part # 32-82381455 once I know what it is! I can't seem to attach anything right now, when I can I will add pictures
