Hello from Osan Korea,
I have a question for you guys. I am looking and thinking about upgrading boats from a 16 foot bow rider W/88 HP Evinrude SPL V-4 to a really nice both interior/exterior 1991 Chaparal 2000LS Bowrider 20 footer that has a 4.3 liter V-6 Yamaha inboard motor with the outdrive on the outside of the boat. My question is that it has plenty of battery juice and turns the engine over fast but will not run at all. The people that I am buying it from said that they have had it for 2 years now and only used it 3 or 4 times when they first bought the boat and last year they didn't even take it out becuase they decided that a boat is not for them and they are not boat people as they thought they were. So I am thinking the gas is probably pretty sour and no good at all and needs to drain all of it out of the gas tank and put fresh 87 octane and add Seafoam to he gas and spray Seafoam deep creep inthe aerosol can down the carb throat and let sit a little bit and try to crank it over with the fresh gas and Seafoam added to the tank and see if it runs for them. Is that good advice and what else would I do if that doesn't solve the problem. Thanks Bob
