1991 Evinrude 40

[MRTURBO]

On the electric choke device thats mounted on the side of the engine.There is a little red lever that will move back and forward.What is the best position for this?????

MRTURBO,<br /><br />The lever you desribe is the on the fuel primer solonoid.<br /><br />The lever should be folded down (parallel to the solonoid body) for normal running.<br /><br />The other position (perpendicular) is for manual starting ( ie, dead battery).

So you mean with the tip of the lever pointing to the rear or front of the engine?
