Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me if it is normal for my engine to have exaust smoke coming from the pee holes along with the water. The engine runs fine although it does suffer, sometimes, from an intermittant overheat problem that I have not been able to cure. A compression test proved excellant. Any ideas would be heplful, thanks.

Brooksyde,<br /><br />I'm not an expert but I do have an older force 125 which is similar to yours. I generally only see water out of the pee hole.<br /><br />two things come to mind...<br /><br />1. You may be seeing steam, not exhaust. When was the last time the impeller was changed? An intermittent impeller would cause an overheat problem. I'm told these impellers should be changed every other year or more often. If the engine really overheats, it will turn to toast really fast!<br /><br />2. one of the overheat episodes may have caused a gasket failure.<br /><br />Odds are #1 and I would start there.<br /><br />Good Luck!<br />Jeff
