Hello, I have a 1991 Force 150hp. I have been having a problem starting it. I thought that the problem was the batteries due to the age. I replaced both and also used a jump box. Starter seems like it does not have enough power to turn over engine. once started it runs great any advice?????

Hello Urbanredneck and welcome to Iboats<br />Make sure all battery connections are clean and tight. Chances are the starter needs to be taken apart and cleaned or rebuilt. They are easy to take apart and can be a little tougher to put back together. A rebuild will be around 75 bucks and an aftermarket one about 125 dollars. A rebuilt one is basically someone who goes in and cleans it. The main thing when cleaning them is use either WD40 or contact cleaner. Do not use any water or oil. When re assembling it use monofiliment or thread to tie the brush in place with the spring until you can get the cover over it then break the string.
