1991 Force 150 will not pump water

I have a 1991 Force 150 I was using it 2 weeks ago when it just stopped pumping water. I replaced water pump kit with new oem impeller, all gaskets, wear plate, and housing . It will pump water while attached to a hose but at launch it wont do anything. I dropped lower unit and checked all inlets and put hose in inlet tube water flows freely also took new thermostat out no diference

Please help I have had all I can take from this #$%% motor. If I dont get any answers I will sell this boat Thanks Brad

Ps yes I did replace the drift key with a new one

When you replaced the impeller what condition was the old one in? If it was totally broken up you may have a chunk of it caught in the cooling system. Was the new impeller with the brass insert or is it all rubber? I have had the glue separate from these brass insert type so the brass spins and the impeller will not move.When you reconnected the water tube is it connected correctly to the powerhead via the grommet? Are the fins on the new impeller going the correct direction. This is done by putting impeller on the key and pushing the water pump down and over the impeller while slightly turning the drive shaft clockwise.

Old impeller was fine thats what I dont get The old housing had a crack but I replaced that. The impeller is rubber w/brass insert. Tube is connected because when I attach hose to tube(lower unit dropped) It sends water through motor and out exhaust ports and pee tube
