1991 four winns 18.5 outdrive ??

Im looking at this boat 1991 FOUR WINNS 180 Horizon. anyone have any comments on the outdrive. its a omCobra 4.3 liter. Please advise. supposedly runs great. thanks in advance.<br /><br />Paul

also, appears to be in great shap for the year, two owners, 461 hours, cyliner heads redone at 300 hours in salt twice. asking 6500. Do you think thats a good deal? im thinking of offering 5500 if all else is good.

IMHO ..It's overpriced unless it is in really "mint condition". Personally I wouldn't buy anything with a cobra on it.

thanks, it appears to be really mint. But ive only seen 6 pics.<br /><br />why does no one like the omc did they stop making them and parts are hard to get?

reliability was a big issue with the old OMC's and now, since they are no longer in production, parts will be harder to come by. if i were you id pass on the deal. 6500 also seems overpriced for the year. IMO you can do better than that for 6500.

If it had a Mercruiser, or Volvo,.........<br />It would be High Priced..........<br /><br />With an OMC,........ That's Outrageous..... Especially This time of year,........<br />People are Giving Away boats,.. Rather than Storing,+ making the payments All Winter........

look for a similar four winns with a diffent engine and outdrive. almost all of the four winns i see have volvo penta outdrives, so it shouldnt be hard finding a niced used one with a volvo.
