1991 four winns outdrive

I just bought a 1991 four winns with the V8 20ft Horizon model how can I identify the outdrive unit on the boat?

Ayuh,... Look.... There's gotta be stickers, labels, etc. on the motor,+/ or the drive....

Serial #s are always a step in the right direction...

Besides stickers, "What color is it?" If it's black, it almost certainly going to be a Mercruiser Alpha One. If it's dark Grey, it's a OMC Cobra.

I'll try to get some pics up soon. I believe its an alpha because it is black. But no stickers on it to be sure. Allways had jet boats this is the first i/o.
