So here is the issue, I crossed the jumper cables when I went to jump start the boat, now it wont crank over, battery is fine but no juice when key is turned over, motor raises up and down, but nothing on the instrument panel.

How do I diagnose my problem and fix it?

No money for a mechanic at the time...

Thanks for your help.

So I believe this is a common problem for doodoo heads, I did some research on the issue, and found it could be the relay or solenoid, or possibly the reset RED button, how do I know for my make and model.

Okay well after exstensive research and talking to other people at other FORUMS, with no help here, I figured I would post my findings for the
1991 Four winns 170 Freedom:

The FUSES are 32V 50 Amp Fuses and can be purchased at any local Autozone or Checkers etc. they are located just above the ground terminal block in a series of three covered in black rubber boot with a metal clip to prevent seperation.

Hope this helps a fellow Boater in the future.
