Alright well some of you may no if the posts i posted prior about my boat. Had issues like a small hole in the hull. Two pockets of foam in the back that were a bit wet. And now i have two more issues to ask about. First the update on the original issues. The hole i patched with some JB water weld. Well to my surprise the stuff has held up incredibly well. its been beached on, slammed down into the water a couple times.( ya know.me a noob who passes a pontoon wake in a tight curve and has no choice but hit the wake and go air born) been out on the water for 12 hr days. so a fair use of the 6 dollar product. and its just as good as when i first patched it. rock solid and no sign of coming off. Yes i intend to fix it right..maybe, The second issue. the wet foam pockets. well they are no worse. yeah the wood on top was rotten, which i put some plywood patches on.( i know. Herracy). inspected it all again today. The foam seems alittle less wet then before( probably just a hopeful imagination,). but i now see a much easier way to get it out. (cutting out the fiberglass just above it and redoing it once its fixed. And ive looked else where in my boat. there is just no other foam. its in the back under the batteries in small compartments. and sprayed it seems to the underside of the deck which is perfectly dry. otherwise i can not find any more and the boat does seem to be double hulled. but only up front? its odd the way the boat was constructed. i cant find anything on it on the web. but other wise i have put it to a good test and its all held very well.

Now for the new issues. The floor has two soft spots forming. Not like break through soft as i can still put all my weight on it and its solid to a degree. it just flexes a bit in these spots where as the rest is rock solid. so a new floor is in order soon. which i hope when i pull it up ill get to see the innards of my boat for further inspection. like i said in my old post. im very interested in seeing its construction as it appears to have no traditional stingers but rather its built in compartments. so yes the boat is showing more rot issues. but im still holding on to hope its isolated.

The second issue. its with the fiberglass. i suppose its the clear coat/gel? coming off. but its getting rough spots in it. kinda like pitting. but its not holes. thats the best way i can describe it. pops up in different places. ive been sealing it in with rustolem spray on clear coat. which works kinda. its happening on the upper parts of the hull around the boat and its on the transom in some places. its not deep at all. just surface roughness. what is exactly? seems to happen more if i let the boat out in the sun without cover or shade. how do i fix it? a proper roll on clear coating?

okay so now some pictures, this is the foam situation its in compartments on both sides right below the batteries. the other side is in waayyy better shape than this side pictured. its actually not wet all the way through. just the surface is actually wet. look at the pics to see what i mean. ive checked the surrounding wood by drilling and its solid and dry shavings. so my plan is just to cut out the tops and uncap the compartments. get the foam out and add new in. and re cap. i guess my questions are. Is my idea of recapping it going to work? what should i use to fill it back in? just foam or? as i said earlier. these two compartments are the only foam i can find thats not sprayed to the deck.
