Re: 1991 Kenner 21'
a couple ideas.
go back to the boat and see if you can find anywhere to see or feel. down low in the back. in the bilge. my last boat had one drain hole (on the inside of the keel) ya could stick yer finger in. ya could feel the wood behind it. + with mirrors and a flash light i could see in the hole and see the wood. a bummer to do, but may answer the question.
another idea might be to find some accessory that is screwed to the boat. take the screw out and see if ya can tell if its wood or not...
look at the transom drain hole. if it has a brown stain running down it, i'd think that may be a clue as to rot juice been dripping out the hole. any loose accessory mounted to the transom on the outside too(hopefully you won't find any, but when i was looking at boats, i found many). maybe find a loose screws see whats inside the screw hole.. you'll need to reseal that screw though assuming ya find nothing. i've not done it but here 4200 or 5200 works well. good luck with your venture..
