I have decided to go ahead and keep this boat and restore her with new transom, stringers and aft bulkhead that were completly rotten. I started to have a fiberglass shop do the work now I'm having second thoughts. I picked up my boat Friday to do some work on the ventillation louvers and blower hose while the access to the bilge is easy. One of my marine batteries is gone and my trailer wiring was chewed in half several places by dogs. My question is there anyone who could help me with the location and height of the motor mounts. I am going to need a lot of advice and help by those of you who have done this before. I will figure out how to post pictures and show yall what I'm up against. Thanks

Ayuh,... Everything is dependant on What motor,+ drive you're using,+ Exactly where the transom assembley is hung...

After the transom assembley is hung,...
Then hang the motor on it's Rear mounts, with the motor suspended from the hook/ crane,...
Adjust the hook/ crane til the alignment bar is free,+ properly adjusted...
Then measure where the forward mounts need to be,....
Install them, then adjust the motor mounts to align the motor to the transom assembley..
Then the drive goes on...

Now,.....
This is the way Mercruisers are done,...
Also the OMC Cobras,+ some Volvos are done the same way...
