1991 Yamaha 90 HP outboard water pump problem

Anybody have a method to remove the old water pump impeller? I cant get it off!

You'll have to pry it up and off...probably stuck on the shaft from mineral/corrosion deposits. Worst case, you may have to cut it off. When you mount your new woodruff key and impeller, assemble everything with waterproof marine grease to help removal next time. Good Luck!

Well good luck...I take it that it's been a good while since water pump was replaced?....Saltwater motor?....That woodruff key in the driveshaft may also be a challenge to remove...just have to work it out!
