I have a bad cylinder and decided to rebuild it myself. Never done a boat motor before but have done many car and lawnmower and ATV motors. I have the factory manual. I have taken alot of pics as I removed all the wiring, carbs, reeds and etc. My problem is when I try to lift the power head off, I am just about lifting the whole boat with the hoist and all I can get is about a 1/2 inch gap at the front between the powerhead and the mid section. I have removed the 6 long bolts, the 2 front bolts and nuts on each front side, and a bunch of other bolts. Im pretty sure I have removed all the bolts the book said to. Is there any bolts under the bubble exhaust? Is there some trick to getting it loose? What am I doing wrong. The bubble cover has some rounded bolts that i cant get to is why i havent just checked under it yet. This motor has been in salt water most of its life. PLEASE HELP!
