Im sure this is dumb question to ask but went through dead battery issue. it sat for two weeks and the only thing I know that would pull a charge is the stand by with the radio but nothing else I can think of but threw battery charger on it for about an hour not knowing at the time if the battery would have enough charge sitting a couple weeks. more of a safety thing I guess but anyway. after it left me stranded I went out and bought a voltage checker and charge the battery up. started by checking the voltage and it was around 12.90 so I started the motor and let it run with the checker attached and notice that it dropped down to around 12.83 after about 30 minutes of running. I also revved the motor a couple of time to see if the voltage increase but didn't see any change. I have a bad feeling the rectifier possibly has gone bad and its not charging which is $200+ bucks fix. I just don't want to save the cash up and find out it wasn't bad. is there a way to check the part while its running? I am really strapped for cash so I have to keep cost down to a minimum if all possible. :blue:

One battery is new and its my main battery. the other is about 2 years old and both have always held a charge.

Surprised no ideas but let it fully charge and checked the reading then ran motor and it seems to stay around 12.85. hope its charging.
