1992 150hp force

I have this motor it has spark issues which the shop says will cost $800 to fix a modual? Im on the fence about either parting out or selling complete motor. is there a common modual that goes out can I do this myself it has 135psi comp on all 5 cylinders lower unit good just the electrical issue

You can get either the switchbox, or the converter, for under $300. There is no other module on a '92 150.

Thanks Rosco is there any years that have this switch box or converter that would be interchageable for the 150. was thinking also if the lower unit would fit on my 1985 85hp I would hang on to it for a spare plus the skag on my 85 has been chipped off some
