I have a 1992 Mercury BlackMax 150 XR6 that has started having starting issues. It will start fine cold but once I drive a lengthly way and shut off and try to start back up it seems like the starter is disengaging to soon. I thought it was starter and replaced it with new one with no luck. Changed all spark plugs. I'm getting fuel and spark. Compression is 120psi on all cylinders. All new fuel lines. Ohmed out all coils, powerpack, stator, new starter. Everything checked out fine. I'm to my last whit with what to do to it. Any insight will be greatly appricated.

The starter is designed to kick-out when the motor fires. It sounds like that is what it is doing. This is usually caused by a motor in poor tune. As a workaround, try choking the motor when warm restarting.
