1992 Chevy K1500--NO NOTHING :-(

My dad has a 1992 Chevrolet 1500 4X4. He bought it 9 years ago and today it decided (for the first time ever) to not co-operate It wont even turn over! He turned lights, radio, etc and put a chrger on the battery so it's not the battery.....Any ideas on what the issue might be? he is going to check the starter tomorrow...any other ideas? Any Help would be appreciated.

maybe the truck isn't in park or nuetral??

My bets on the starter.

With a test lite check to see if power is getting to the small post on the starter solenoid while someone is holding the key in the crank position. If not it's either the neutral saftey switch if auto trans or clutch saftey switch if stick or the ignition switch. Start at the ign switch and work from there to the other applicable switch.
