I have a 1992 evinrude 200 xp I have replaced the stator,reg/rectifier,engine wiring harness and tachometer. my issue is the tach is jumping around. i have checked dva voltage to tach and im getting 10v dva when i rev the engine the tach settles in but at idle its jumpy . the dva voltage coming off stator wires is 11 volts dva and the gray wire in back is around 10v dva. the dva from the stator leads to the red reg/ rectifier output is also around 10 v dva . this wire attaches to the starter solenoid and i assume charges the battery so everything seems to be working fine but the tach is jumpy i tried another tach and same problem. my question is the stator putting out enough ac voltage because after i rev engine the tach corrects itself its putting out ten to 11 volts ac at idle using a dva adapter the 7th edition cdi troubleshooting guide states 8-25 at idle is good. Is there anything else that could be causing this issue. i have checked all connections and there is no corrosion.
