I know this is most likely a beat question so sorry to repeat. I have a 1992 four winns 190 horizon with a 302. It had a bad carb so I upgraded to a edelbrock performer intake and 4bbl edelbrock marine carb, Owning a shop and improving many 302s I have a healthy parts bid itching me, My plans are a roller cam conversion (can't believe in 92 this thing still had a nonroller cam in it) a set of Holly alum heads ( No salt) and maybe minor exhaust porting. I was thinking of using a stock explorer roller cam as it has a low power range which I believe will work well here, I pull skiers, tubes and carry people but do like to open it up here and there, 80% of my hours are on a small lake so it wont have too much WOT time . Comments on engine set up are welcome. My main question is reving the cobra up past 4500 rpms, I am careful and don't beat things , I'm quessing 5500 max rpm and it would be 20 second bursts tops, I feel I'll be ok but looking for ideas here. also adding 70+-hp would I be able to add pitch to my prop? I have a 14.25x21 stock and a 14.5x19 now for heavy pulling times
