1992 mariner 175 efi fuel system

I have a 175 efi mariner that the fuel system is dry on. That being said. Do I need to fill the vst with pre mix first and then let the oil injection take over and just prime with fresh unleaded? Dumb question. Yes. But efi and oil injection is all new to me.

Is this a running or stored engine? New purchase? If VST was just drained for storgage just pump bulb to fill tank and motor will do the rest. If its all new use pre-mix first till you know if oil system is working.

It was a stirred engine. Still on boat but the system was drained
