Hey guys,
Have a few questions:
1. What to use on tubes for cleaning and polishing. How to to do a good job that is last.
2. I saw one little hole not even an eighth of an inch in the front of one of the tubes. What can i patch it with so that I get it on the lake and run it before it gets to cold? Will get it welded up this winter and have them presure tested.
3. The boat set up for 2 years, I had the guy start it and put into gear. F/R.
Ran and shifted fine. Motor looks super clean under cover.
What should I do and look for before I take it to the lake. Will it be okay to put the muffs back on and let it run for some time before I go.
4. Where can I get some parts for the boat. 1. Fuse panel cover. 2. Manuals for boat and motor.

Thanks, like what I been reading here and decided this would be a good place to start.

Search FAQs for tube cleaning, lots of options there although I don't reccomend actuallt polishing tubes, it creates alot of work keeping them up.

Does the hole leak?

I have seen alot of pin holes that I swore would leak and didn't, If you are having it welded I wouldn't put anything on it as the welder wiill have to try and get it back off, a hole that small,if it even leaks, won't cause you any problems unlss it is under the water line.

As for the motor at a minimun change the lower unit oil before you take it out dn yes you cna run it ofr as long as you wnat on muffs as ;long as it is moving water and you don't go above 1500 rpm.

As for parts, you caaget the majority of them right here at iboats, you will have to get a new fuse panel as just the cover probably isn't available anymore and would be really expensive if you did find it.

You can get a manual for the engine here as well or maybe Ebay if money is tight btu there is no manual for the boat.

get rid of the gas, clean the gas tank, put in fresh gas and a cheap inline filter from the auto parts store. Make sure the battery is fully charged
